Eight Fire Crews were called to a major fire at Rivington Court, Warrington on the 29th April 2019. The fire is believed to have been started in a Furniture warehouse.
The incident started at 11.25 AM with residents being advised to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution.
Five crews were initially dispatched to the fire. However, after an hour a further three crews were where called to offer support. When the Fire Crews arrived, the roof of the building was well alight forcing a full evacuation of the surrounding area.
Cheshire Fire Service confirmed that the evacuation of the surrounding area had been successful. Consequently no one left on the industrial estate.
Finally, an investigation is currently underway, with a surveyor carrying out a survey of the building and liaising with other businesses in the area.
