A supermarket burglary in the form of ram-raid occurred at Tesco’s in Sheffield on Sunday 7th October.
The supermarket burglary at Dinnington’s Tesco in Sheffield took place in the early hours of Sunday morning. The thieves took an ash-blue Vauxhall Insignia to the shutters of Tesco’s front entrance, just after 2:00 am.
Upon successfully gaining access to the supermarket, the thieves continued to drive through the store. After roaming the store, the thieves stole a stock of computer games, phones and cigarettes.
Subsequent to stealing the goods, the offenders then made away with the merchandise in a dark Peugeot 308.
The police have acknowledged four culprits and are seeking information from the general public.
Furthermore, the supermarket burglary has been caught on CCTV and the police are investigating this for leads.
A representative from the South Yorkshire Police has commented:
“Officers are carrying out a review of CCTV as well as making local enquiries.”
The Tesco store is currently closed and will remain shut until the police have completed their investigations. Due to this, it has been speculated that the store will reopen on Wednesday 10th October.
