Police were alerted to a ram-raid in Birmingham on Thursday 8th August 2019.
Two cars smashed into the Perry Barr post office in an attempt to steal a cash machine during the early hours of the morning.
The intruders were started by police as they attempted to reverse into the post office.
As they made their escape, the crooks piled into a third vehicle ramming the police as they sped off empty handed, leaving the vehicles involved at the scene of the crime.
The vehicles have now been sent for forensic examination as the investigation continues.
Fortunately nothing was stolen due to the quick arrival of the police however this is not always the case.
Intruders spend on average 3-5 minutes on site, catching them in the act is not always possible. Proactively protect your premises with a SmokeCloak system.
