On Monday 3rd December 2018, a commercial burglary occurred at a department store in Skipton.
A commercial burglary has occurred at a House of Fraser department store in North Yorkshire.
The commercial burglary at the High street store happened overnight between Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd December.
Criminals broke into the store from the roof and then made their way to the first floor, where the store holds its range of Barbour branded items.
The thieves then stole a selection of Barbour jackets, hats and scarves before making off with the goods in a vehicle from the rear carpark.
North Yorkshire police appealed for any witnesses in connection with the incident. It has since been suggested that the incident was premeditated due to the calculated execution of the act.
Police Constable, Rich Sutcliffe made an appeal for information:
“I would appeal for anyone with private or business CCTV in this area to have a check through it during this period, and if there is anything of relevance to get in touch with me as soon as possible.”
Anybody that may have also been given any such items, similar to those taken in the burglary at a discounted price are also being urged to come forward with information.
