GP Surgery Destroyed by Fire.

On Monday 7th January, a devastating fire destroyed a GP surgery in Chiddingfold at around 3.30AM.

The surgery, built over 19 years ago through a community charity project, currently supports 4,500 patients covering Chiddingfold and neighbouring areas.

Surrey Fire and Rescue confirmed that the building is 100% damaged by the fire with the cause of the fire currently unknown at this time.

Local residents had to be evacuated from their homes while the fire crews dealt with the incident.

The local community are devastated by the recent news with residents commenting,

“I am just devastated and very unhappy for the doctors, I am concerned about them and everybody.”

“It’s a real shame and it’s devastating for the community. People use it on a daily basis and rely on it for repeat prescriptions”

This isn’t an isolated incident; a number of businesses fall victim to devastating fires not just hospitals.
