The North West Security Procurement Conference is a free event taking place in Liverpool on the 3rd May. The conference is organised by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and gives delegates the chance to hear advice from a range of expert speakers on ways in which taking a value-based approach to procurement can help to generate a maximum return on security investment.
James Kelly, Chief Executive of the BSIA says: “Often, security is purchased on the basis of initial purchase price alone. This can leave buyers with an inferior solution that is not fit for purpose and does not solve their problems. But it’s important to remember that choosing the cheapest solution can often mean compromising on materials or functionality. Taking into account the ‘whole life cost’ of a security solution can vastly improve the return on investment by focusing on quality and considering the implications of cutting corners, for example, on servicing and warranties.”
Speakers at the event include Pauline Norstrom, Managing Director of NetVu Ltd, and Simon Adcock, Chief Executive Officer of ATEC Fire and Security Ltd. There will also be presentations covering the latest advice in making smart buying decisions when it comes to procuring both electronic security systems and traditional security guarding. In addition, a range of exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate the very latest in security solutions.
Over 150 delegates from businesses across the North West attended last year. Delegates included, the Co-Operative Group, Arriva, University of Manchester, William Hill and Saint Gobain.
