On Friday 8th January, three men walked into Griffin Estate Agents in Essex and left with a reported four-figure sum after taking cash from a desk drawer.
It is believed that the incident happened at around 1 PM with multiple staff members being distracted. While the thieves pretended to be interested in one of the properties.
During this time a significant sum of money was taken from a desk drawer before the thieves fled the building. Knocking over a member of staff in the process.
Unconfirmed reports suggest the thieves attempted to steal a mobile phone during the incident however they unsuccessful.
A spokesperson for Essex police has given the following statement:
“We are appealing for witnesses who saw what happened or saw three men acting suspiciously in the area before the incident. They were aged in their 30s, had dark hair and one wore a brown leather jacket”
