Equipment Worth £100K Destroyed By Fire

A West Yorkshire building firm has seen £100,000 worth of equipment destroyed by a fire on Monday 29th April 2019, which is believed to have been Arson.

The fire affected The Pastures, part of the Woods Meadow housing development being overseen by Oldman Homes in Oulton.

Local residents were woken to large bangs in the early hours of the morning. Due to the size of the flames were, called the Fire Brigade.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue then attended the incident just before 4 AM.

The Fire Brigade used three main jets, a hose reel and breathing apparatus to tackle the blaze and prevent it from spreading to a 10,000 litre diesel tank.

A JCB Telehandler worth £50,000 alongside diesel barrels and shipping containers containing general sundries have been destroyed. Totaling an estimated £100,000.
