Thieves have broken into Holme Valley mountain rescue headquarters sometime between Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th August 2019.
It is thought that the intruders broke into the Marsden building sometime between the Monday evening and Tuesday morning with enquiries still ongoing.
Items taken involve 2 laptops, 1 big screen, 1 computer screen a safe, paperwork and prescription drugs. It is believed that over £1,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
Some of the drugs and paperwork have been recovered nearby, however most of the items are still unaccounted for.
David Honour, Deputy Team Leader at Holme Valley Mountain Rescue stated;
“We tend to need the control room if we get a major event, like the Beast from the East. It’s easier to work from HQ then as we can coordinate with other agencies”
