Burglary at Frankie and Benny’s

The recent restaurant burglary occurred at approximately 3.15am on Saturday 24 March, on Doncaster Road in Barnsley.

Frankie and Benny’s have been victim to their third burglary in the space of only 7 months.

According to the authorities, the burglars are still at large. South Yorkshire Police are therefore appealing for any witnesses to come forward with any information they may have regarding the incident.

Upon breaking into the Frankie and Benny’s on Doncaster Road, the intruders also caused damage to the main entrance and a window.

The cash draw from the restaurant’s till was also taken. The draw has subsequently been recovered by officers after it was found along the Trans Pennine Trail.

Police are linking this burglary in connection with the other two preceded robberies at the same restaurant.

The first occurred in October 2017, where the restaurant was burgled and a substantial amount of cash was taken. The second, occurred last month, where the offenders stole an iPad as well as a quantity of cash.
