Burglar Arrested Following Sheffield Ram-Raid

A 24 year old male has been arrested following a ram-raid in Sheffield on Tuesday 21st May 2019.

South Yorkshire Police was called to Halfords at the Kilner Way retail park, Wadsley Bridge in Sheffield, following reports of a ram-raid at 2.50 AM.

A burglar was found inside the store, however he managed to escape and was later arrested. South Yorkshire Police also believe they have located a van which was used during the ram-raid.

It is currently not known what was stolen during the incident, however it is believed that two bikes were taken.

Ram-raids cost the retail sector £8m per year, however it is not just retail stores that are affected. If your premise is glass fronted you could also be a target for ram-raiders

There are different security devices available to secure your property. Intruder Alarms and CCTV act as a deterrent to criminals, while a SmokeCloak system will proactively protect your premises as soon as a break in is detected.
