Elf on the Shelf?!
This new ‘tradition’ is the next big festive Christmas craze for children.
Did you ever grow up thinking the Christmas decorations would dance, sing and party all over the house while you’re sleeping? – Well now they do…
Back in 2005, the book ‘The Elf on the Shelf’ by Carol Aebersold and daughter; Chanda Bell was self-published and released with the token toy. Children are given the little scout from Santa, sent to assure good behaviour in the run up to Christmas. The elf checks in with Santa each night to relay whether the children have been naughty or nice.
But that’s not the only thing they do at night…
Every morning in the lead up to Christmas, children wake up to elves missing from their previous locations.
Elves are found, strategically positioned in scenes of havoc, which it seems they have caused during the night.
