Pandrol UK choose Assured to protect their business

Pandrol UK is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of rail fastening products, manufacturing of these fastenings involves melting steel in furnaces with high temperatures, this process gives a significant fire risk.

Pandrol had a fire extinguisher contract with a well know large national fire company, and were not receiving the service they felt they deserved, they did not own the extinguishers, each individual unit was on a separate rental contract and call outs to refills had a slow response.

Assured came in & replaced over 150 fire extinguishers which Pandrol now own for roughly the same cost as the previous rental price per year, a free fire safety survey was completed and a comprehensive upgrade was completed, along with the removal of the old fire extinguishers which were not required or were oversold by the previous company.

Pandrol have since handed over the maintenance contract for the fire alarm & intruder alarms systems, which have been taken over & maintained to the same high standard, Assured are also looking at automatic fire suppression systems to avoid the fire happening in the first  place.

Assured Managing Director Simon Stokes continues “we wanted to be flexible and keep the cost low for Pandrol’s requirements,  we were providing a larger than normal quantity of extinguishers so we discounted the price of the extinguishers heavily so Pandrol could own the extinguishers, this meant they were not tied down to any one company, refills & re-charges are frequent and needed completing the same day so we have wavered any call out charges as the amount of refills pay for the call out charge.“

Other companies would have had pound signs flashing but we feel that giving our clients a cost competitive reliable service provides them with a choice which is one our major business values.
