Credit Crunch Crime - NEW GOVERNMENT HELP !

Councils & police forces and other government bodies are now providing government grants towards upgrading  security for small to medium sized enterprises, this includes the installation of alarm and CCTV systems, security gates and barriers etc.

A new report has recently been released by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) which highlights the £12.6 billion annual cost of crimes against business. This figure has increased by 20 per cent since the BCC's last survey on business crime in 2004, and it now equates to over a sixth of the total cost of all crime in the UK.
 
In addition to this new Government quarterly crime figures revealed that Domestic burglaries were up 4%, fraud and forgery up 16% and drug offences up 9%.
