Alarm Monitoring Services
Assured can provide a range of alarm monitoring devices to help protect you from fire and security incidents. Below is an introduction to each.
For information on our alarm monitoring services, please see below links.
Assured Monitoring Devices
Speech dialler
An electronic dialler interfaced with the intruder alarm system which will automatically dial up to 4 telephone numbers and play up to 4 recorded messages.
This system is particularly useful to alert a third party within an area local to the premises - it cannot be used to alert the Police or Fire Brigade.
On receiving a call (mobile or landline) the recipient is asked to press number 8 to confirm receiving the message, if this is not completed e.g. phone is not answered or goes to answer phone, the dialler will dial the next programmed telephone numbers until it receives a number 8 confirmation input.
Note - there are no annual monitoring charges or calls made when the system is set/unset, calls are only made when there is an alarm.
Digital Communicators
- The communicator has the ability to transmit coded electronic signals to our permanently manned Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and will continue to do so until the communicator receives an electronic handshake signal from the ARC confirming the origin and type of signals received.
- We will connect the device to your existing telephone line, however we must point out that if the phone is in use or left off the hook this will impede the facility to dial out.
- A line analyser is built into the digital communicator, this provides constant monitoring of the telephone line. A low volume audible and visual warning will be given on the control panel in the event of a line fault at any time. This resets after the line is restored.
- Please note that every time the intruder alarm is set, unset or triggered a short telephone call will be charged for by your service provider.
BT RedCARE
- A Subscriber Terminal Unit (STU) will be located adjacent the control unit. This unit is designed to transmit a coded message to our Alarm Receiving Centre.
- The above communication equipment provides 'a secured signalling path' which ensures that a signal can be received if the communication line is attacked or develops a fault.
- Please note that no additional call charges are made by your service provider.
BT RedCARE GSM
- A Subscriber Terminal Unit/ Terminal Adapter with GSM Interface Device will be located adjacent the control unit. This unit is designed to transmit a coded message to our Alarm Receiving Centre.
- The above communication equipment provides "dual path signalling" which ensures a confirmed alarm can be sent if either signal paths are disabled or damaged.
- These are designed to transmit an electronically coded message to an Alarm Receiving Centre computer. Alarm confirmation extends to signalling where dual path signalling is installed for the following conditions:
- The ARC receives a transmission fault signal followed by an alarm signal, or vice versa, from the same protected premises during the same set period.
- The ARC receives two transmission faults signals from the same protected premises, one from each of the two transmission paths of different technologies.
- Please note that no additional call charges are made by your provider.
