Addressable Fire Alarm Systems
Addressable fire systems are state of the art which transmit data over the detection circuit that provides intricate information for the user.
The main advantage of an addressable fire system over a normal conventional system is that each detector has an it's own individual identical number, this number will then have an address, e.g. 'Smoke detector 17 - rear store Zone 7'.
By having an detector with its own address, any fire or fault can be quickly identified by your staff or more importantly the Fire Brigade.
Another main advantage is that parameters of each detector can be set from the main panel, so the sensitivity of the detector can be programmed, the times it operates, what it operates.
Cause & effects.
Cause & effects is an option on most addressable systems which allows for a pattern of events to be programmed once a detector is triggered.
For example, when a detector on the 3rd floor operates you may want only the sounders on this floor to go into full alarm & sounders in other areas to go into alert. This can avoid mass evacuations or save time from false alarms.
Another example would be the operation of building interfaces, so a detector could be placed in a switch room cabinet & upon the detector going into fire a fire alarm interface could shut down the switch cabinet.
Pre- alarm
Some properties can experience high false alarms, even business with a low false alarm rate understand the cost & interruption to business when a full evacuation of staff / customers occurs.
This is why a pre-alarm can provide protection against a false alarm. The detector can give a pre-warning at the main panel with out operating the sounders, this can give time for staff to investigate an false alarm or potential fire.
The detector will still operate if it senses a fire.
Remote diagnostics.
By having have remote diagnostic we can dial into your system remotely from our office & interrogate the panel for any issues that may arise.
This can have great advantages by tackling any issues immediately & saving on an engineer call out.
Remote control.
Addressable fire systems can have repeater panels which mimic the information & controls of the main control panel.
This can provide control of the fire system across your premises.
Addressable equipment used by Assured Fire & Security.
We only use fire alarm equipment of a high calibre & of good reliability. All too often companies are now competing for the cheapest price which usually means using cheap inferior equipment.
At Assured we never compromise on quality or reliability, after all we are installing life safety systems for you, your staff & visitors & this should never be compromised.
